Position Overview The Supervisor plays a dual role: a fully engaged team member and a reliable leader. You will actively participate in all day-to-day café operations while serving as the point person during GM absences. This role requires strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a proactive mindset to anticipate needs and solve problems in real time. Key Responsibilities Team Member Responsibilities • Perform all standard café duties including barista service, food preparation, register operation, cleaning, restocking, and maintaining overall store cleanliness., • Deliver warm, attentive hospitality that reflects the Honeybrains brand., • Ensure the café operates smoothly and efficiently in the GM’s absence., • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper workflow throughout each shift., • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs proactively., • Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and care., • Resolve issues calmly and effectively, always prioritizing a positive guest experience., • Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude., • Support and motivate team members through empathy, clear communication, and constructive feedback., • Help cultivate a collaborative, respectful, and high-energy work environment., • Step in wherever needed to support the team during busy periods. Must be 21 years or older. Prior management or supervisory experience in a restaurant environment. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and NYC health regulations. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Strong communication skills in the primary language(s) of the restaurant. High school diploma (preferred).
