Job Description Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst Full time, on-site position Kenmore Air is an iconic company dedicated to its employees and customers! Serving the Pacific Northwest for nearly 80 years, we provide scenic tours, scheduled service and charters. We also operate two airplane maintenance facilities, sell airplane parts and provide flight instruction. The Role The FP&A Analyst is a key strategic partner to the business, responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and performance insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. This role focuses on financial planning, reporting and analysis rather than people management, and plays a central role in strengthening budgeting discipline, forecasting accuracy and management reporting across the organization. The position reports to the VP of Finance. Our business operates in a complex, operations-driven environment, including scheduled and charter flight operations supported by in-house maintenance and parts functions, which requires thoughtful financial modeling and the integration of data from multiple systems. Experience supporting inventory-intensive or asset-heavy operations is highly valued. Key Responsibilities • Deliver timely and insightful financial analysis to support strategic, operational and investment decisions., • Lead the development and maintenance of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, ad hoc business cases and long-range financial plans., • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and clear performance commentary for leadership., • Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Parts, and Accounting teams to improve cost visibility, forecasting accuracy and resource allocation., • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance against plan., • Support the preparation of Board and executive-level materials, translating complex financial results into clear, decision-ready insights., • Support the monthly close process through analytical review, variance explanations, and coordination with Accounting., • Analyze inventory, labor, and operational cost drivers to identify risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements., • Contribute financial insight to business cases, capital planning, and strategic initiatives., • 3-5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis or corporate finance., • Strong hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting in a dynamic operating environment., • Experience supporting inventory-based, asset-intensive or operations-driven businesses (aviation experience a plus)., • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis and data analysis., • Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI to analyze and present financial and operational performance., • Hands-on experience with ERP and financial systems and comfortable working across multiple data sources., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of financial statements and business drivers., • Ability to synthesize financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders., • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to partner across functions., • Detail-oriented, curious and motivated to improve planning, forecasting and decision support capabilities.
