Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Proficient in reading and accurately following recipes. Flexibility to accommodate customer demands, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Good planning and organizational skills. Basic math and computer skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Creativity and artistic skills for decorating baked goods. Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Experience: Experience in a bakery or restaurant setting is often required, with specific roles typically necessitating 1-3 years of related work experience. Experience with cake decoration techniques is beneficial. Some positions may require experience in high-volume production environments. A minimum of two (2) years of baking experience is preferred. Current SERVSAFE certification or successful completion of a sanitation course within the past year is often required. An Associate's degree in hotel or institutional food preparation is preferred. Current food handler's card and other certifications as required by federal, state, or local law. Baker Requirements: Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills. Attention to detail, particularly when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
