Our Heads Start Facilities Department is looking to hire an individuals to serve as a Security Guard who prioritizes the safety and health of each child, parent, visitor, and staff member at our facility. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Benefit Eligible: Health Coverage, Paid Time Off: vacation, paid holidays, and sick time. Eligible for retirement account match (max of 3%) after one year. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Three years of experience as a security guard or similar role. Preferred: Bilingual Spanish Excellent integrity, good moral character, and initiative. Ability to effectively communicate professionally and have English fluency – speak, read, and write. Preferred: Bilingual Spanish Display ethical and professional behavior when working with children, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the school. Responsibilities include: Ensure that all exits are secured before the start of each shift and at intervals during the shift. All locks around playgrounds and grounds will be unlocked in the AM and closed in the PM. Watch for safety and fire hazards and other security-related situations. Ensure that children are dropped off and picked up in an orderly and secure manner. Monitor all deliveries to the building to ensure security is not breached. Assist the professional staff, police, and emergency personnel in handling emergencies or disruptive situations. Encourage and ensure that all staff wear identification badges. Assist visitors with directions and ensure that their identification is displayed. Challenge unauthorized visitors and escort them to exits. Report any unauthorized visitors and acts of vandalism to the management team. Notify the building administration, police, and/or appropriate emergency personnel of any potentially dangerous or unusual situations. Immediately notify appropriate personnel of evidence of substance abuse, child abuse, child neglect, severe medical or social conditions, potential suicide, or individuals appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs. Protect the confidentiality of records and information about staff and use discretion when sharing such information within legal confines.

    Job description: The School-Based Youth Services Programs at Clifton and Passaic Valley High Schools are comprehensive, one-stop shopping programs designed to assist students prevent and combat problems affecting their personal, academic, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure that students graduate, become employable or continue their education, and are physically and mentally healthy and drug-free. The Employment Specialist is a full-time position, working 20 hours per week at each school, providing employment services and coordinating with existing employment services. The responsibilities include: • Serving as a member of a team committed to helping young people build on existing assets to make positive choices about their health and well-being, academic achievement, and interaction with others., • Identifying or conducting appropriate job training programs, assisting in job searches, developing and maintaining a database of local employment opportunities., • Coordinating with employment programs including those provide through the schools and the Workforce Investment Board (One-Stop Center)., • Overseeing program-based employment initiatives., • Assisting the Program Directors in maintaining and building relationships with the schools and community collaborators., • Assisting in data collection for evaluation purposes. Prospective applicants must have knowledge of the philosophy of Positive Youth Development; the ability to work collaboratively with school and program resources; and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred. Computer skills are also essential, with experience with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel, preferred. We have a great opportunity for a Physical Therapist at our Bergen County NJ office. This position is Mon - Fri, 5 8 hour shifts, or 4 10 hour shifts with one day off. Basic Function Responsible for providing patients with all phases of physical therapy. Responsibilities 1. Evaluate incoming patient conditions to determine appropriate physical treatment programs, and consult with referring Physicians regarding diagnosis., 2. Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs., 3. Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques to include: • exercise instruction, • manual therapy techniques, • modalities (ultrasound), • activities of daily living 4. Document treatments rendered on billing sheets and in appropriate patient charts., 5. Record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit., 6. Prepare patient care/progress notes and other required forms as requested., 7. Consult with referring Physicians regarding patient diagnosis, and communicate changes via progress notes., 8. Communicate with referring Physicians and Physical Therapy Assistants regarding patient therapy and equipment., 9. Communicate with Physical Therapy Assistants to perform interim therapy evaluations to continually modify and update treatment programs., 10. Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment., 11. Compose discharge notes for patients, refer to appropriate outside sources as necessary., 12. Attend continuing educational courses to obtain advanced clinical skills., 13.
