Job DescriptionJob Summary: This position is a unique opportunity to be a member of a fast paced, highly skilled, collaborative Design/Mechanical Engineering team. This position actively participates in the design, CAD drafting, along with the development of files required to prototype and manufacture all applicable Parabit products. Duties/Responsibilities: • Create custom mechanical CAD components, • Update existing mechanical CAD drawings, • Create components for our 3-D modeling design tool library, referencing manufacturer's specification using Solidworks, • Use logic, mathematics, reasoning, experimentation, analysis tools, physics, calculus, and written communication skills to analyze and solve complex mechanical designs, • Remain current on leading-edge CAD technology, new materials, manufacturing processes and their potential application to our manufacturing facility, • Maintain file creation and versioning storage specifications, • Document all daily actions by completing, maintaining, and submitting time-logs by project, • Research best materials and design approaches for the development of parts/assemblies, • Develop part/product renderings, • Use company standard K factors while creating accurate solid models, • Create CNC files, • Perform other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:, • Five (5) plus years' experience creating CAD drawing of complex assemblies for sheet metal fabrication, • Capable of performing with a sense of urgency and occasionally changing to a project with increased priority, • Fundamental knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 2010 and up and OnShape, • Ability to hand sketch, • Experience with 3-D printing, • Ability to work independently, as well as, work in a collaborative group setting, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related Engineering, Design, and programming softwareEducation and Experience:, • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, • Five (5) plus years of related job experience Join an exceptional and energized team that shares a common belief in the value of creativity, operating with integrity, and leading through innovation.
