The contract duration is 13 weeks. We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional for an Immediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, particularly in telemetry, and will be comfortable caring for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients when necessary. • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMCU., • Monitor patients with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, with a goal of achieving a ratio of 4:1., • Float to MedSurg as needed based on patient volume., • Participate in initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patient care., • Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy and blood products., • Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation of patient care., • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcomed to apply., • Active North Carolina nursing license or multistate license., • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (must be AHA accredited)., • Recent telemetry experience is essential., • Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility; a driver's license is required for address verification. The facility has a total of 24 beds with an average daily census of 20-24 patients, allowing for a supportive and collaborative work environment. While pediatric cases are infrequent, candidates must be prepared to accept pediatric patients when necessary. Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request but is not guaranteed.
