Job DescriptionJob Title: Medical Assistant - Berkeley HeightsJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant for a Back Office MA position to join our team in Berkeley Heights. The role involves providing vital support in patient care, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring smooth operations within the medical office. Responsibilities • Conduct patient intakes and room loading., • Perform vital checks and room patients., • Assist providers in patient care and with setting up and breaking down office procedures., • Measure and record manual blood pressure., • Update electronic medical records (EMR) using systems like Athena., • Scan documents and update inboxes for EMR., • Sterilize instruments and update medication charts., • Restock rooms and supply closets, and complete inventory., • Triage phone calls for physician or patient inquiries., • Update patient records and input orders.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 6 months of experience in medical assisting., • Proficiency in patient care and handling a high volume of patients (30-40 per day)., • Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athena or Epic., • High school diploma or GED., • Certified Medical Assistant preferred, with certification from an accredited program.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Ortho or Podiatry experience is a significant advantage., • Proactive, outgoing, and capable of multitasking., • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage patient flow efficiently.
