This position is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and compassionate environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.Key Responsibilities • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor, • Draw blood specimens skillfully and safely, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, • Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing, • Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling, • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures, • Maintain accurate records and required documentation, • Promote a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment, • Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strong customer focus, • Communicate openly with patients, peers, and supervisors, • Travel between assigned locations and adapt to changing schedules as business needs dictateRequired Skills & Qualifications, • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment, • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision, • Excellent phlebotomy skills and patient interaction abilities, • Strong customer service and communication skills, • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting, • Sound judgment and decision-making based on established procedures, • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable), • Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional dress codeEducation & Experience, • High School Diploma or equivalent required, • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred, • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA; not required in NY), • 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections, • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred, • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred, • Keyboarding and data entry proficiency requiredTrainingTraining locations may vary based on trainer availability.Benefits, • Medical Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement PlanAbout the CompanyA leading provider of diagnostic information services, empowering healthier lives through insights drawn from the world’s largest clinical laboratory database.
