Qualifications, • Lived experience with substance use and 2 years of sustained recovery, with a demonstrated commitment to personal wellness and harm reduction principles., • Active certification as a Peer Specialist, in good standing, in state of residence., • Willingness to obtain certification as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) through NAADAC within nine [9] months of start date., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport., • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from marginalized communities., • Knowledge of harm reduction strategies, multiple recovery pathways, and behavioral health resources., • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team., • Proficiency in documenting client interactions and using electronic health records (EHRs) preferred., • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices., • Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) are a plus., • Location: Shaker Heights, OH, • Ability to move between various locations, including client homes, community centers, and clinical settings (if applicable)., • Extended periods of sitting during virtual or in-person meetings, and occasional standing/walking during outreach or group facilitation., • Clear verbal communication is essential for peer coaching, support groups, and collaboration with care teams., • Ability to read and interpret documents, electronic records, and screens for documentation and resource sharing., • Occasionally lifting or carrying materials such as harm reduction supplies, pamphlets, or office materials (typically under 25 lbs).
