Ensure all demographic and insurance information is accurate, complete and up to date in the patient's chart. Scans current insurance card and photo identification into system, • Provides, explains and reviews for accurate completion, all Registration forms, consent forms and obtains signatures as required, • Provides and explains the Authorization to Release Health Information to patient at their request and documents appropriately, • Discusses balances due, including past balance, co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles, referring to Patient Accounts as necessary; takes responsibility for collecting and posting payments from patients at time of service via check, money order or credit card in compliance with our policies and procedures, • Offers Patients My Chart Activation in compliance with Meaningful Use guidelines, • Provides After visit Summary in compliance with ACO guidelines, • Follow end of day check process daily to total and balance collections, • Begins the check in process in EPIC. Act on notations and complete the check in process successfully, • Schedules/Cancels/Reschedules patient appointments as ordered by the physician adhering to scheduling policies and procedures, • Obtains HMO insurance referrals as required for maximum reimbursement of services rendered, • Notifies management or other departments appropriately using Clerical Templates for various issues/requests/reasons, • Maintains supply inventories and equipment necessary for the effective performance of the job; communicates supply needs to the office supervisor in a timely manner, • Maintains a neat, organized, orderly environment in the reception and waiting room areas, including physician business cards, brochures, signage, etc, • Closes office as needed, ensuring all patients accounted for and discharged. May be required to set alarm, • Actively demonstrates good oral and written communication skills with both internal and external customers, • Demonstrates flexibility in schedule to meet patient and office needs, • Participate in a rotating schedule for holidays and weekends, if applicable. May be required to adjust shifts to meet the operational needs of the practice, • Cross-trained in all specialties to ensure continuity of service and coverage across the department. Responsibilities • Take full ownership of the company’s accounting function while reporting to CFO., • Manage all aspects of the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting, • Implement and manage ASC 606 revenue recognition processes, • Lead the transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting, • Evaluate existing accounting and revenue recognition processes and identify areas for improvement, • Develop and implement accounting procedures, internal controls, and reconciliation processes, • Troubleshoot accounting issues and provide practical, hands-on solutions, • Ensure revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, and related transactions are properly recorded and reported, • Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting schedules, and management reports, • Work directly within Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online, • Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting schedules, • Identify gaps within the existing accounting infrastructure and implement process improvements, • Establish and maintain a strong accounting foundation to support the company’s continued growth, • Partner with leadership on accounting, financial reporting, and business-related financial matters, • Provide hands-on Controller-level guidance and support across the organization, • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information, • Support external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, and other outside financial partners as needed Qualifications • Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior-level accounting experience, • Strong technical accounting background with demonstrated ASC 606 and revenue recognition expertise, • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, • Experience transitioning an organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting strongly preferred, • Strong Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online experience, • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, • Strong general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience, • Proven ability to troubleshoot accounting issues and develop practical solutions, • Hands-on approach with the ability to both perform the accounting work and improve the accounting function, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function, • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work fully onsite, • Public private CPA highly regarded The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a true hands-on Controller who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and owning the accounting function. Position Objectives: We are seeking a part-time House Manager to join our team at the JBFC Theater, a five-screen independent cinema, which typically receives 225,000 patrons annually and is open every day of the year, including holidays and weekends. In your role as House Manager, you will be reporting to the Director of Theater Operations & Hospitality and be primarily responsible for and play a key role in the overall operations of the theater. The House Manager is expected to run the theater with or without the presence of senior staff. For the House Manager position, we are seeking an outgoing and highly-organized individual who has experience with leadership, the public, and the arts to handle day-to-day front of house cinema operations for films and special events.
