The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and capillary puncture on adults, neonates, and pediatric patients; collects urine specimens; participates in the instruction of new personnel; works with computer; communicates in a manner that promotes Laboratory professionalism as well as a comfortable phlebotomy. The Phlebotomist processes lab specimens. Schedule: This is a 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 am to 6:00pm. Rotating Saturdays (one time per month) between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The schedule will be determined by the hiring manager upon hire. Location: 2 Centerock, Road, West Nyack, NY 10994 Primary Responsibilities: • Perform routine phlebotomy procedures, • Ability to distinguish sample types and draw requirements with order of draw for lab testing, • Ability to perform waived testing, • Navigate laboratory computer system with minimal to no errors, • Perform pediatric and adult phlebotomy, • Obtain finger stick collection, • Verify patient demographics accurately with two patient identifiers, • Adhere to safety and scientifically accepted infection control practices and standards, • Blood collection: from adult and pediatric patients using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary puncture using heel and fingerstick techniques, • Identifies and labels specimens appropriately, • Instructs patients in regard to urine and stool collection procedures, • Enters accessioning data into the computer, • Prepares specimens for send out testing, • Inventories supplies and prepares phlebotomy stations to effectively collect blood, • Attends required meetings, • Function as an effective team member. Responsibilities include: acting as trial counsel representing the County, its officers and employees in state and federal courts on matters involving personal injury claims and property damage, allegations of deprivation of civil rights, breaches of County contracts and claims involving environmental issues, conducting hearings and administrative proceedings pursuant to New York State Civil Service law, employment discrimination claims before the New York State Division of Human Rights, representing the County in proceedings pursuant to Article 78 of the New York State Civil Practice Law and Rules and handling casualty and estate lien recoveries and Guardianship proceedings in Supreme Court and Surrogate’s Court; Supervision may be exercised over other attorneys in the Bureau on specific matters. Particular work to be handled by the incumbent includes specialized legal work related to Medicaid lien recovery in both the New York State Supreme and Surrogate’s Courts, Supplemental Needs Trusts and Guardianship proceedings pursuant to New York State Mental Hygiene Law Article 81 and New York State Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act Article 17-A. POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the ISL Immunology Sales Lead, the Celltrion Immunology Specialist (CIS) is responsible for achieving the sales objectives and revenue target for their territory. WORK EXPERIENCE • A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience required., • Immunology experience required. Track record of sales success and existing relationships with customers in immunology (specifically gastroenterology and rheumatology), • Biologics experience strongly preferred, along with working knowledge of patient HUBs, assistance programs, and specialty pharmacy.
