    Reports to: Manager of Daytime Park Maintenance Department: Park Maintenance Status: Non-Exempt The Position: Working under the general supervision of the Manager of Daytime Park Maintenance, Park Maintainer IIIs have a strong commitment to worker and driver safety and are responsible for operating a variety of heavy duty vehicles and motorized equipment to collect and transport waste and recycling and perform other duties that support park and vehicle maintenance. Our scoopers are the ultimate Van Leeuwen ambassadors as they exemplify our world-class standards in everything they do. Our Ice Cream Truck team has the opportunity to work music festivals (Governors Ball Music Festival), movie sets, private parties and more! We are looking for self-starters who are easily able to work as part of a team or alone. The ideal candidate is someone with amazing energy, fantastic people skills, and a love for ice cream! This role requires a local Department of Health Food Handlers License. DOH requires you are 18 years or older. This role requires a Motor Vehicle Record. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Display amazing customer service and positively represent the Van Leeuwen brand, • Maintain sound food handling and cleaning practices, • Exhibit menu and product knowledge, and accurately serve offerings to company standards, • Follow company protocols, driving and safety rules, • Effectively communicate with other team members and management while on shift, • Work happily and respectfully as part of the team, show initiative when needed, • Promote an environment of fun, kindness, and respect JOB REQUIREMENTS • Must be 18 years of age or older (18+), • Food or other customer service experience, • Flexible availability (weekends are a MUST), • Self-motivation and ability to work independently, • Ability to drive an Ice Cream Truck (Food Truck), • Ability to effectively work well as part of a team and autonomously, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, • Ability to multi-task, • Possess dexterity to prepare and serve guests all menu items in accordance with established service and build-out standards, • Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs of weight regularly, • Stand for extended periods of time regularly, • Walk up and down stairs regularly, • Stand, bend and reach for prolonged periods of time, • Exceptionally high standards for cleanliness, • Valid driver's license required, • NYC DOH Food Handlers license required WHY VAN LEEUWEN? • Competitive Pay + Tips, • Flexible Scheduling, • Free Ice Cream (One menu-item while on shift), • Positive team environment, • Career development and growth opportunities, • Opportunity to be part of a growing, fun brand!
