About the Role STAUFF is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Control operations across North America. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, customer requirements, and internal quality processes while driving a culture of operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and defect prevention. The Quality Manager will oversee quality assurance, inspection and testing, metrology, supplier quality, customer quality, warranty management, and continuous improvement initiatives while leading a team of Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors. This role is Onsite in Waldwick, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities • Lead, maintain, and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)., • Drive compliance through internal, external, customer, and certification audits., • Lead root cause investigations and CAPA activities using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, and other quality methodologies., • Manage quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records., • Establish and track quality objectives, KPIs, and management review activities., • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product conformity., • Manage nonconforming material containment and disposition processes., • Ensure traceability and calibration requirements are maintained across operations., • Partner with suppliers to improve quality performance through audits, scorecards, corrective actions, and KPI monitoring., • Serve as the primary customer contact for quality concerns, complaints, audits, and product qualification activities., • Monitor and report customer complaints, warranty trends, returns, and quality metrics., • Collaborate with Engineering on process validation, control plans, risk assessments, and new product introductions., • Lead projects focused on reducing defects, scrap, rework, warranty costs, and customer complaints., • Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives., • Develop and deliver quality training programs while fostering cross-functional collaboration across Quality, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service., • Ensure safety and ergonomic considerations are incorporated into quality processes and inspection activities. Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field., • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or quality systems., • Strong expertise in ISO 9001 standards, certification processes, and quality management systems., • Experience with SPC, PPAP, PFMEA, DOE, CAPA, process controls, and inspection methodologies., • Demonstrated success leading audits, corrective action programs, and continuous improvement initiatives., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills., • Ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing quality teams. Preferred • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification., • Lean Manufacturing experience., • Experience in hydraulic, fluid power, or industrial component manufacturing environments. Travel Requirement: Ability and willingness to travel between facilities in New Jersey, Ontario, and Michigan.
