The Flex Teacher will work up to 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, providing full-day coverage as needed across various grade levels. Core Competencies & Responsibilities - Provide instruction and supervision to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. - Follow lesson plans and ensure that educational goals are met during the teacher's absence. - Maintain a positive and productive learning environment conducive to student growth and development. - Implement classroom management strategies to address behavior and maintain order. - Collaborate with school staff to support the academic and social-emotional needs of students. - Maintain open communication with classroom teachers and school administration regarding student progress and any concerns that arise. - Flexibility to adapt to different teaching styles and curriculum materials as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the school. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred. - Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred. - Must be eligible to work with students in a school setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment. - Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Qualifying Tasks - Execute lesson plans provided by classroom teachers. - Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
