Job Description Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Job Description This role supports manufacturing operations by managing shipping and receiving activities while performing key production control tasks. You create and maintain work orders, process inventory transactions in the ERP system, support component fulfillment, and ensure accurate documentation in line with released production schedules. You also provide backup coverage for materials handling and related warehouse functions to keep production running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities • Complete all ERP production and inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner., • Support the backflush of components to work orders and process work order completions using the ERP system., • Assist the Materials team with Kanban component fulfillment to ensure production lines receive parts when needed., • Create, update, and provide work order support to meet production schedules and assist in production prioritization., • Help analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies in production control and finished goods areas., • Work with leadership to maintain accurate production schedules and prepare related reports., • Become fully cross-trained in all production control activities to provide flexible support across the team., • Provide backup support for materials handling, shipping, and receiving functions as needed., • Perform production control activities under direct supervision and independently resolve routine issues., • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices in all daily activities., • Comply with all written company policies and procedures related to production, inventory, and shipping/receiving., • Perform accurate receiving of incoming materials, including precise quantity verification and system updates., • High school diploma (HS Diploma)., • Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment., • Hands-on experience with ERP systems for production and inventory transactions (such as QAD or similar)., • Proficiency with shipping systems, including FedEx Ship Manager., • Experience processing work orders and related documentation in a manufacturing or warehouse setting., • Practical knowledge of cycle counting and inventory reconciliation., • Basic computer skills, including the ability to work with inventory and warehouse management systems., • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with shipping, receiving, and materials handling responsibilities., • Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and adhere to established policies and procedures., • Experience supporting Kanban component fulfillment or similar material replenishment systems., • Familiarity with backflushing components and closing work orders in an ERP environment., • Ability to interpret and work from production schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly., • Comfort working under direct supervision while independently solving routine issues., • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders, inventory tasks, and shipping/receiving activities., • Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, materials, and warehouse teams. The position typically follows standard manufacturing and warehouse operating hours, with work performed in production areas, inventory locations, and shipping/receiving docks where safe, practical attire suitable for a warehouse and manufacturing environment is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
