Job Description Deans Archer & Co. CPAs (is now Galleros Robinson) Established CPA firm is looking for a talented individual with a minimum 2 years of public accounting (CPA firm) experience. We are a premier CPA and consulting firm with an office in Lynbrook, NY. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field and two years of experience as Accountant or Financial Analyst or related fields. • Experience: 2 years (Preferred) Our services include: • Tax Preparation, including corporate, LLC, payroll, sales tax and other compliance filing, • Tax Planning, • Auditing, • Consulting Responsibilities: • Perform Testing, document test results, identify findings as applicable, and work with the internal staff to design corrective actions that mitigate risk and ultimately add value using paperless Audit Tools., • Responsible for drafting finding memos/comments for areas under review., • Prepare documents detailing work performed and conclusions reached., • Communicate findings to the auditor in charge and to senior management., • Understand and incorporate elements post-review corrective actions into future planning and risk assessments., • Be able to scope out the length and difficulty of tasks and projects., • Assess if internal controls are in place and test if working effectively., • Understand the current accounting principles and auditing techniques., • Prepare individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120, 1120’s, 1065), nonprofit entities returns (990) and associated schedules and financial statements using Tax Software., • Coordinate to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances., • Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns., • Consult tax law handbooks or bulletin to determine procedures for preparation of atypical returns. Provide future tax planning to clients., • Work on Claims Auditing at different School Districts., • Familiar with software like Drake, Workpapers CS, PPC, QuickBooks, ADP etc., • Manage chart of accounts for different clients., • Manage weekly accounts receivables and payables for clients., • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, monthly financial reports., • Process Payroll for clients., • Consult with clients on various business matters., • Respond to client inquiries including IRS, State and Local tax notices., • Representation of clients at Federal and State Agency Audits., • Develop, build and manage client relationships., • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 150 credit hours needed to qualify for the CPA exam, • CPA or pursuing the certification (NYS CPA eligible), • Minimum 2-years public accounting experience, specializing in tax, • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, • Effective research skills, • A pleasant attitude, team-oriented and professional mindset, • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, • An individual who enjoys interacting with clients on a regular basis, • Motivated for continued professional and individual growth, • Ability to provide mentoring and leadership to staff Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k), • Medical Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Monday to Friday (9:00AM to 5:30PM), • Late Nights (due to tax season), • Waiting Period will apply\
