Job Description Why this job is different from the other card jobs you're looking at Most sports card jobs are sorting jobs. You put cards in order, somebody else decides what they're worth, and that is the whole arc of the role. This one starts with product in your hands, and it does not stay there. Within your first year you will be helping decide what a collection is worth, what gets graded, what gets listed raw, and what gets held. You will sit in on collection buys. You will work card shows including the National Sports Card Convention. Your knowledge of the hobby is the reason this seat exists, and it is what we are hiring for first. We are an authorized dealer for PSA, CGC and JSA, moving thousands of items a week across eBay, live selling platforms and the national show circuit. We are small enough that one person's judgment moves the number at the bottom of the page, and busy enough that you will see more product in six months here than most collectors handle in a decade. What you will actually do • Sort, identify and condition raw cards by year, set, parallel and variation, and make the call on what is worth sending to PSA, BGS, SGC or CGC, • Inspect surfaces, corners, edges and centering on high volume and hold the standard on card four hundred of the day the same as card four, • Catalog inventory with real precision, because a wrong serial number or a missed parallel is a wrong price, • Handle high value raw singles and complete collections carefully, sleeved, loaded and stored the way they deserve, • Verify that listings, photos and descriptions match the physical item before anything goes live, • Keep product moving through the building, from intake to photography to vault to live sale, • Help us refine the tools and workflows we use for cataloging, describing, researching and pricing inventory, including the AI-assisted ones, • Grow into collection evaluation, buying support and show work as you learn our business Where this goes Your first few months are hands on and volume heavy. You are learning our systems, our pricing sources, our grading standards and our customers, and you are doing it with product in front of you, because that is the only way anyone actually learns this. From there you start owning categories, making grade or no grade calls on your own, and shaping the workflows the rest of the team uses. Pay moves with that. Past the first year, the people who want it move toward collection evaluation, buying trips and running a piece of the operation, and we will have that conversation honestly when you get there. You will do well here if • You genuinely know the hobby. You can tell a base from a short print, you know why centering matters, and you have opinions about the 2026 market, • You catch the soft corner on card four hundred of the day, not just card four, • You are comfortable in an open, active, sometimes loud warehouse and you like moving, • You are comfortable on a computer, and you are open to learning tools that take the tedious parts of your job off your plate, • You want to learn the money side of this business, not just the product side A quick note on tools We use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to speed up cataloging, research and listing work, and you will use them here too. You do not need any experience with them to apply, and you do not need a technical background. If you already reach for these tools, great, tell us about it. If you have never touched them, we will show you what we do and how we do it. What matters far more is that you know cards. This is probably not the right fit if • You want remote or hybrid. This is on-site in Amityville, and it has to be, because the product is here, • You want a quiet desk and a defined process for everything. Plenty of what you will do does not have a process yet, which is exactly why we want your ideas, • You love cards but do not want to handle thousands of them. The volume is real and it is the job What we need from you • Real, current hobby knowledge across modern and vintage. Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Bowman, plus signed memorabilia, • Attention to detail that holds up under volume. Spotting micro-scratches, soft corners and print lines should be second nature, • Comfort on a computer. Spreadsheets should not intimidate you, • Reliable transportation to our Amityville location, • 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the United States, • High school diploma Commercial experience buying, selling, grading or consigning is a real plus. So is running your own eBay or Whatnot operation out of your bedroom. We care much more about what you know than where you learned it. Compensation and benefits $18 to $27 per hour. Everyone starts where their current hobby knowledge and experience put them, and moves up the range as they take on more, with reviews built in as you prove yourself on product, on volume and on judgment. 401(k) with company matching, paid time off, and a flexible schedule around our show calendar. How to apply Fill out our application at https://form.jotform.com/262505229366055 . It takes about ten minutes and the questions are about cards. We read every one and we will get back to you within a week either way.
