Job Description Requirements: GED 1-2 years manufacturing experience (negotiable) Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) Proficient with e-mail. Also Word and Excel Able to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs. Day to day responsibilities will require the ability to clearly communicate in both english and spanish, with both our production team and management. After a brief period of hands-on learning our Plant Supervisor will work alongside our floor manager to start supplementing and taking over primary ownership of their responsibilities; ensuring smooth daily operations and, addressing problems as they arise. MWT is a RF control material manufacturer serving clients from retail to defense Plant supervisors responsibilities: Hands-on production responsibilities - Lifting heavy objects, Cutting Fabrics, Mixing liquids and powders, casting resin Clear communication- Ability to clearly communicate in both english and spanish, with both our production team and management. Onsite learning - Taking on the responsibilities of the floor manager in a transitionary capacity Record keeping - Managing, updating and communicating ongoing work lists, inventory, provided weekly and as needed by e-mail. Quality Control - review and documentation, ensuring production staff are making product to specification ( liquids , sewing dimensions , labeling , orientation, etc.) Process engineering - Learning production techniques and formulas, Ability to read a formula sheet and blueprint, Making measurements, doing basic conversions (kg->lb), cutting fabrics, mixing paints, silk screening, basic machine maintenance. Ongoing Operations - picking up supplies when necessary , maintaining and organizing work flow from production staff to ensure timely production goals, itemizing daily and weekly status reports for management. Notifying management of physical plant issues requiring intervention from landlord. Shipping - ensuring product shipped meets QC and PO requirements, Packing shipments, Providing box sizes and weights. Working with management - Responding to inquiries and requests through electronic means in a timely, clear and efficient manner (text, email and weekly zoom meetings, monthly onsite meetings) as well as raising onsite issues in a proactive manner.
