Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Line Supervisor Job Description The Production Line Supervisor oversees and organizes equipment, staff, and processes on the production floor to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role enforces health and safety standards, establishes and manages performance procedures, and inspects products to maintain quality. The supervisor focuses on improving efficiencies, effectiveness, and overall operational performance while supporting a positive and professional work environment. Responsibilities • Oversee daily operations on the production floor, including equipment, staff, and workflow., • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment., • Establish, implement, and manage performance standards and production procedures to meet business requirements., • Monitor production lines and assembly processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules., • Inspect products regularly to verify that quality standards are met and maintained., • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and production problems to minimize downtime., • Coordinate and supervise staff, providing direction, coaching, and support as needed., • Manage inventory related to the production line to ensure materials and supplies are available., • Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to handle heavy workloads and tight deadlines., • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations., • Promote and model a consistently positive and professional attitude on the production floor., • Maintain accurate records related to production, safety, and performance as required.Essential Skills, • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or similar role., • Hands-on experience with manufacturing machinery and tools., • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Supervisory and management skills in a production or warehousing environment., • Working knowledge of safety procedures in a manufacturing setting., • Ability to operate forklifts and powered lift equipment., • Effective time-management and priority-setting abilities., • Ability to handle heavy workloads and work under tight time constraints., • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills., • High attention to detail and commitment to quality., • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities., • Solid organizational skills for managing production lines, assembly lines, and inventory., • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Red Cross training is considered an asset., • Experience supervising staff on production and assembly lines., • Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistently positive and professional attitude., • Comfort working in a structured, standards-driven environment., • Willingness to work rotating or fixed shifts as required.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a clean plant environment that is well lit and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and safe setting for production work. Shifts include second shift (3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) and third shift (10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), requiring flexibility to work evenings and overnights. The facility uses manufacturing machinery, tools, forklifts, and powered lift equipment as part of daily operations, and follows established safety procedures and standards on the production floor.
