POSITION OVERVIEW ICFO is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quantum Project Manager to join the Quantum portfolio in ICFO’s Competitive Funding Team . The role focuses on managing research projects, facilitating the communication between the research team, stakeholders and funding agencies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Proposal Preparation: Assist ICFO Group Leaders and their research teams in the preparation and submission of high-quality research proposals. Project Oversight: Ensure smooth project operation by managing timelines, overseeing the completion of deliverables in the correct format, and meeting submission deadlines. Risk Monitoring: Identify and monitor potential project risks, ensuring proactive resolution to mitigate impacts. Meeting Coordination: Organize, document, and participate in project meetings and other relevant events, ensuring all actions are tracked and followed up. Financial Collaboration: Partner with the economic reporting team to align scientific objectives with financial requirements, bridging the gap between technical and administrative aspects. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for administrative questions, providing timely follow-up and coordination between ICFO Group Leaders, funding agencies, and consortium members. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with project management best practices and the regulations governing competitive funding calls and proposals QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Proven experience in project management, ideally within the research and quantum sectors. Proven experience managing European Projects, demonstrating familiarity with EU funding frameworks and processes. A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field of Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering clear and effective collaboration. Excellent communication skills and fluency in both English and Spanish. Knowledge in Catalan is desirable Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a results-oriented mindset. CONDITIONS This is a full-time position linked to the duration of the project. A competitive salary will be offered in line with ICFO’s approved salary scales, taking into account the responsibilities of the role and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
