ppThe Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Unit of the ICIQ Scientific Core Facilities. /ppICIQ is one of the world’s internationally recognized leading institutions in the field of chemistry committed to solving major social and economic challenges by conducting top quality research in three main areas: Sustainable Catalysis, Renewable Energy and Health. The institute also aims at training the future generation of scientists by offering high-quality educational programs to master, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers (full details on /ppThe candidate will work in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Unit. This core facilities Unit provides researchers with access to a wide range of NMR experiments both under automation or manual mode. The unit also advises researchers on the most appropriate experiment to fit their needs, and it trains and instructs researchers in using NMR, what information can be obtained from NMR experiments and how to optimize the instrumental resources available. In addition, the NMR staff, also takes care of the instruments maintenance, update and new experiments implementation. /ph3Responsibilities (performed Under The Unit’s Manager Supervision) /h3ulliPerform routine maintenance quality control of NMR instrumentation, including cryogen refilling, helium refilling, probe maintenance, shimming, pulse calibration, retiring measured samples, and performance monitoring. /liliTroubleshoot and resolve instrument issues, coordinating with service engineers and suppliers when required. /liliAttention to users of the unit, including measurement of NMR experiments, solving doubts about NMR experiments or providing information/suggestions about NMR experiments. /liliContribute to the implementation, optimization, and validation of new NMR methodologies, experiments, and instrumentation. /liliManage laboratory operations, including user access, supplier orders, equipment documentation, data management, and sample handling. /liliEnsure compliance with laboratory quality and safety procedures, supporting internal and external audits. /liliAttending seminars, webinars, and technical training. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliChemistry degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) or equivalent /liliGood command of English (oral and written). /liliKnowledge of informatics at user level. /liliPrevious experience with NMR instruments (preferably Bruker). /li /ulh3Valued abilities qualifications: /h3ulliExperience in NMR instrument maintenance (preferably Bruker). /liliExperience in the application of NMR to small molecules. /liliPractical scientific instrumentation skills. /liliService orientation and user-focused mindset. /liliExcellent organizational skills with attention to detail and effective time management. /liliIntercultural and interpersonal and communication skills. /liliProactive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn. /liliTeam player. /li /ulh3We offer: /h3ulliA creative and professionally stimulating scientific environment. /liliRemuneration aligned with the company’s salary policy, within the PSRTU1–PSRTU5 band (PSRTU1 26.780€ - PSRTU5 35.020€) based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. /liliImmediate start date. /liliAn international and dynamic environment within a multidisciplinary team. /liliAnnual salary split into 12 monthly payments.
