We are looking for an Application Support Engineer (File Transfer & Middleware) to join the team of a leading multinational company based in Madrid. 👥 Role & Responsibilities: • Ensure the operational stability of services with a focus on file transfer platforms and middleware environments., • Guarantee the proper execution of batch processes, file transfers, and application workflows, ensuring data integrity and service quality., • Manage incidents end-to-end, ensuring fast resolution, clear communication, and documentation (including PIRs)., • Proactively improve service through monitoring, automation, and performance analysis., • Provide technical and functional support to users and act as an expert for IT Operations, especially in production and infrastructure topics., • Implement and supervise monitoring systems, ensuring the health of application components, interfaces, and data exchanges., • Oversee batch scheduling and ensure alignment with the production plan., • Manage releases and coordinate changes with development, operations, and business teams., • Maintain and improve technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge bases., • Analyze logs, events, and performance data to enhance system reliability and user experience., • Support capacity management, backups, restorations, and data lifecycle processes., • Contribute to dashboards and continuous improvement initiatives. 🎯 Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Application Support., • Strong experience working with file transfer solutions (ideally Axway CFT)., • Experience in production environments, batch processing, and incident management., • Solid understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, and monitoring., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills., • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Knowledge of IT risk and cybersecurity principles., • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across teams., • Resilient, proactive, and customer-oriented mindset. 🛠️ Tools, Methodologies & Technologies: • File transfer solutions (Axway CFT preferred), • Schedulers (Control-M, Autosys), • Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, • Scripting (Shell, Python, SQL), • Middleware (Kafka, MQ Series, Ansible), • Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Kibana), • CI/CD & DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible Tower), • Cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform), • Network protocols (Load Balancer, WAF), • Database basics, • ITIL methodologies, • IT resiliency frameworks (DRP, BCP, HA) 🌍 Conditions & Benefits: 📜 Permanent contract 💼 Hybrid model (4 days on-site per month - flexible) ⭐ Madrid 💰 Competitive salary + flexible benefits 🎓 Certification budget 🚀 Ready for your NEXT LEVEL?
