About the role: We’re looking for a finance professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Controller. This is your chance to own core responsibilities such as implementing strong internal controls, overseeing IFRS compliance, managing audits, and leading budgeting, cash flow, and financial risk management processes. Job Responsibilities • Ensure the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal controls and financial procedures across the Reporting function., • Review and validate financial statements prepared under IFRS (BS, PL), including revenue recognition and consolidation performed by the Accounting team., • Coordinate and manage external and internal audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements., • Supervise external consultants and internal accounting teams involved in payroll preparation, tax filings, and critical payments., • Oversee regular reconciliation processes (bank, intercompany, general ledger), ensuring accuracy and completeness., • Participate in cash flow planning and perform periodic liquidity controls., • Control and manage intragroup transactions and payments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance., • Oversee budget and forecast preparation, including review, challenge, and monitoring of variances., • Evaluate and monitor financial and operational risks, proposing mitigation measures., • Monitor company liabilities, including accounts payable and tax obligations, and support cost-optimisation and margin-improvement initiatives., • Contribute to reporting automation and process optimisation, including participation in IT system implementation or enhancement projects., • Collaborate closely with other departments such as Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Internal Control, and Procurement in cross-functional processes and projects., • Support the development and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures across entities and jurisdictions. Required Hard Skills and Education • 3–5 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Financial Reporting Specialist, or similar role., • Experience in managing of people., • Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CFA (completed or in progress). (seen as an advantage), • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field., • Strong experience in preparing financial statements under IFRS and managing general ledger activities., • Experience working with external auditors and consultants., • Solid understanding of accounting principles, consolidation, revenue recognition, and IFRS compliance., • Proficiency in accounting software; ERP system experience (including implementations) is a plus., • Strong proficiency with MS Office, Google Sheets, and financial analysis tools., • Experience working with multi-jurisdictional structures is an advantage., • Languages: Fluency in English; Russian is a plus (preferred in case of similar qualifications).
