About the Company and the Role A multinational engineering and technology company with a strong global presence is seeking an EU Partner Technical Lead to serve as the engineering authority for a strategic Tier-1 telecommunications partner across the European Union. This role is responsible for owning end-to-end solution architecture, integration, testing, certification, and service readiness for satellite-enabled cellular services. Key Impact: • Accelerate service launch velocity and SLA attainment across EU markets, • Ensure post-launch stability through observability, telemetry, and structured NOC/SRE handover, • Enable partner growth through technically sound feasibility assessments for new services and geographies, • Maintain alignment with EU regulatory, security, and spectrum frameworks Responsibilities • Technical Leadership & Architecture, • Act as primary technical interface and solution owner, • Define rollout strategies and KPI/SLA frameworks, • Lead architecture and readiness reviews, • Ensure GDPR, ETSI, ENISA and regulatory compliance, • Network Integration & Design, • Design integrations across satellite, RAN, 4G/5G Core, IMS, OSS/BSS, • Define interface specifications and security baselines, • Produce technical documentation and diagrams, • Testing & Certification, • Define acceptance criteria and validation plans, • Lead interoperability and compliance testing, • Approve readiness for production deployment, • Troubleshooting & Operations, • Lead root cause analysis for complex issues, • Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, • Establish escalation and post-incident review processes, • Partner Engagement & Coordination, • Manage partner technical requirements and change requests, • Provide technical input to commercial discussions and solution scoping, • Present architecture reviews and roadmap updates to partner leadership, • Ensure EU partner needs are reflected in internal engineering priorities Qualifications • 12+ years of experience in telecommunications, satellite communications, or complex network environments, • 3GPP NR-NTN (Rel-17/18) knowledge and direct-to-device architectures, • Experience with RAN, 4G/5G Core (SBA), IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, • Understanding of satellite communications fundamentals, • Advanced troubleshooting using protocol analyzers and RF tools, • Performance analysis, capacity modeling, and traffic engineering, • Scripting/automation (Python, Bash or similar), • Strong EU telecom regulatory awareness Required Skills • Experience in satellite operators, wireless carriers, telecom vendors, or system integrators, • Experience with 5G standalone, network slicing, and edge computing, • Cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices, • IP networking knowledge (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN), • Professional telecom certifications (CCNP, CCIE or equivalent), • Fluency in English required; additional major European language(s) (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Italian) strongly preferred Preferred Skills • Standard office / remote work environment with significant time in network operations centres, labs, and technical testing facilities as needed, • 30–40% EU travel; occasional U.S. travel, • Collaboration across EU and U.S. time zones, • Candidates must hold EU citizenship or possess a valid work permit in the country of employment.
