SenerAerospace and Defence is currently looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our Avionics and Flight System Division at our Tres Cantos work center (Madrid) or Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona). We are a pioneering engineering company in satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In defence, we design and produce equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. What you will do: • Define SW solutions: architectures, SW components, interfaces, requirements., • Prepare SW specifications for SW component development., • Understand HW/FW platform and define SW/HW, SW/FW interfaces., • Break down solutions into manageable SW components and tasks based on project constraints., • Implement and test critical SW functions., • Perform SW debugging., • Guide and coordinate small SW engineering teams., • Lead make/buy trade-offs., • Engineering Degree., • At least 8 years of experience in SW development, preferably in space, defence, or automotive sectors., • Experience across all stages of SW lifecycle: requirements, architecture, implementation, validation, and integration., • Experience in defining SW architectures, layers, components, interfaces., • Ability to understand user requirements and guide HW/FW approaches., • Strong communication skills for technical discussions and presentations., • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration tools., • Experience with Linux-based OS., • Expertise in Simulink and Matlab., • Strong C and C++ coding skills., • Knowledge of OS and Hypervisors., • Open-mindedness and focus on component-level solutions., • For High Level SW:, • Strong C# background., • Knowledge of data structures, processes, and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)., • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
