(INTERN) Project Engineer – Development & Asset Management Velto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of CDPQ (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Project Engineer (intern) to join its team in Madrid, and to assist in the Asset Management Team in Madrid. Velto Renewables is a renewable energy independent power producer with a long-term asset ownership strategy. Established in 2020 and backed by the global investment group La Caisse, Velto Renewables is committed to contributing to the decarbonization of the global economy and the European energy transition by investing in and developing an international and multi-technology portfolio of renewable energy projects. Velto currently owns more than 320 MW of operating and under construction solar PV and wind projects in Spain and France, manages a 25% investment in a 630 MW offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom, develops 1+GW of greenfield projects in Iberia, and is seeking to grow its portfolio by becoming a local player in the countries and regions where it invests. We are looking for motivated students looking to start their professional career in renewable energy being part of a dynamic and to be involved in the global picture of the company. His/her main tasks would be: • Support project development activities in Spain and abroad., • Support asset management activities for a solar photovoltaic portfolio of over 300 MW., • Support M&A activities for wind and solar internationally., • Corporate support. Desired education and competencies • Student of Bachelor’s and-or Master´s degree in relevant discipline (Engineering or similar);, • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish;, • High proficiency use of Office, especially Excel and Power Point;, • Graphic editor skills.

You design clear prompts, review suggestions critically and use AI for refactors, tests, and boilerplate while keeping quality and security high. Practical experience with Jest for unit and component tests, and Playwright for end to end and cross browser checks. You can design reliable test cases, stabilize flaky tests, and keep feedback loops fast in CI. Experience with regulated domains such as telco or utilities.
