Arroyomolinos
About Coonerang We are a growing English language academy with two centres in Arroyomolinos, built around our own teaching methodology — practical, dynamic, and focused on real communication. We don't teach English as a subject to be memorised; we use English as the vehicle to develop genuine speaking and communication skills, so students actually use the language rather than just study it. We are currently consolidating this methodology, and we are looking for someone who wants to grow with the project and take on a key role within the academic team, not just another teaching position. The Role We are looking for an Academic Coordinator to be the backbone of the day-to-day running of our two centres: the person who supports the teaching team, works with families, and makes sure everything runs in an orderly way. This is a hybrid role: you will coordinate and you will also teach (20–25 hours per week). If you enjoy organising, leading a team, and getting things done well — and you enjoy teaching — this role is for you. What will you do • Be the daily point of support for the teaching team: resolving issues, answering questions, and handling material needs., • Support the onboarding of new teachers and help them integrate into our way of working., • Communicate with families on student follow-up: reports, queries, and resolving issues., • Coordinate the running of both centres: timetables, classrooms, and teacher assignments., • Ensure the team meets its commitments: grades, homework, and student reports on time., • Review materials before publication and keep them organised on our platform., • Teach 15–20 hours per week, preferably at intermediate and advanced levels. What we are looking for in you • Leadership backbone. You know how to bring order and say what needs to be said to a colleague, with respect and without backing down., • Impeccable organisation. You have your own systems; when you coordinate, things don't fall through the cracks., • Strong teaching ability. You know how to teach and can explain why you teach the way you do., • A warm, approachable manner. Teachers and families trust you because you listen and you solve problems., • A builder's mindset. You are motivated by a growing project with a methodology still in development; you don't need everything to be already set in stone. Requirements • English at C1 minimum (C2 valued)., • Fluent Spanish for working with families (C1 or above; native speakers valued)., • At least 2–3 years' experience in a private academy or educational centre., • A degree in education, English/modern languages, translation, pedagogy, or equivalent., • A teaching qualification (CELTA, TEFL, or similar) valued., • Previous experience coordinating or acting as a team reference point, even informally: highly valued. What we offer • A stable contract within a growing educational project., • A salary of €1,500–€1,800 gross/month based on experience and profile., • A role with real responsibility and room to grow, • Training in our own methodology and direct work with management. How to apply Send us your CV and a short note (no more than five lines) telling us about a time you had to bring order to, or lead, a team or a group of colleagues. That interests us more than a standard cover letter. Email : direccion@coonerang.com
