At Werfen, a global leader in in-vitro diagnostics, we are looking for a Technical Support Scientist to join our OEM Operations team. This role is ideal for a scientifically minded professional who enjoys designing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating across functions in a highly regulated, quality-driven environment. About the Role As a Technical Support Scientist, you will perform a broad range of technical and analytical activities to ensure the optimal performance of our diagnostic products. You will provide specialized scientific and technical support to Production, R&D, and Quality Control teams, contributing to product improvement, troubleshooting, and the successful transfer of new products from development to manufacturing. Note: This position focuses on experiment design, data analysis, and interpretation. Hands-on laboratory testing will be executed by technicians, although strong laboratory knowledge is required. What You’ll Do • Design experiments and define appropriate analytical or experimental methods for specific projects., • Analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from experimental and performance data., • Investigate deviations, identify potential issues, and propose corrective actions., • Prepare and present results and technical reports to senior staff., • Write and review laboratory procedures and documentation in compliance with GMP and ISO standards., • Support activities related to Non-Conformities (NCs), CAPAs, and continuous improvement projects., • Participate actively in Lean Six Sigma and 5S initiatives., • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field., • (A higher degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.), • Experience in a laboratory environment, ideally within a regulated setting (GMP, ISO 13485, FDA)., • Strong knowledge of biological and chemical laboratory techniques and diagnostic products (IBDR)., • Familiarity with MS Office; SAP experience is a plus., • Fluent in Spanish or Catalan, with advanced English skills (written and spoken)., • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
