Performance Creative Strategist

Barcelona
Languages: High-level English required; additional European languages are a plus. We’re looking for a Performance Creative Strategist to own the end-to-end production of high-performing creative assets across paid advertising, organic social media, and selected offline channels. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role at the intersection of creative production, performance marketing, and emerging AI tools. You’ll turn insights from ad performance, audience behaviour, trends, and competitor activity into creative concepts, produce assets at scale, and continuously iterate based on measurable results. You’ll work across video, static, and motion design, taking creative from initial concept to final delivery. Success means producing work that captures attention, drives action, and gets better with every testing cycle. This is a direct-response creative role, not a traditional brand or campaign position. We value speed, experimentation, creative volume, and measurable impact over isolated hero assets or ideas that never make it into market. Create hook-driven video and static ads for Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads, including Display, Demand Gen, and YouTube. Produce short-form organic content for Reels, Stories, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Design static assets and motion graphics that balance brand consistency with platform-native creative execution. Adapt concepts across required formats and placements: 9:16, 4:5, 1:1, and 1.91:1. Edit raw creator footage and UGC into compelling performance assets, and brief creators on hooks, messaging, and deliverables. Own video finishing, including sound design, pacing, on-screen text, and burned-in captions for sound-on and sound-off viewing. Produce creative materials for offline touchpoints, including retail, hotels, events, trade shows, presentations, and large-format print. Develop multiple creative variations per concept to support structured A/B testing and isolate individual variables. Analyse ad-level performance to identify winning hooks, creative patterns, audience responses, and opportunities for improvement. Use metrics such as hook rate, thumbstop ratio, hold rate, CTR, CPA, and ROAS to develop clear hypotheses for the next round of creative. Collaborate with the performance marketing team to translate reporting into actionable creative decisions. Iterate continuously, scaling winning approaches and challenging assumptions when the data tells a different story. Conduct weekly trend and competitor research using TikTok Creative Center, Meta Ad Library, and other relevant creative intelligence tools. Identify emerging formats, messaging angles, hooks, and visual patterns that can be adapted into original, testable concepts. Turn research into production-ready briefs and creative experiments rather than simply replicating trending formats. Stay ahead of developments in social platforms, advertising formats, creative best practices, and AI-assisted production. Use AI tools where they deliver tangible improvements in production speed, creative quality, or testing capacity. Apply tools for image and video generation, background extension, generative fill, upscaling, concept development, captioning, voiceovers, and rotoscoping assistance. Evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, particularly when product accuracy, realism, and brand integrity are essential. Build and refine reusable templates, production workflows, and systems that enable faster creative iteration without compromising quality. Localise master creatives for different European markets, adapting messaging, formats, and visual elements as needed. Maintain organised project files, reusable templates, and a centralised creative asset library. Establish consistent naming conventions and version control so every asset can be traced back to its corresponding campaign, test, and performance data. Prepare print-ready files for offline applications, ensuring correct specifications, bleed, colour profiles, and output quality. 3+ years of experience producing performance creative for paid social, either in-house or at an agency. Traditional brand or campaign work alone is not sufficient. Advanced working proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Strong short-form video editing skills, with an instinct for pacing, pattern interrupts, visual storytelling, and audience retention in the first three seconds. Experience producing static ads, motion graphics, and platform-specific creative variations at a consistently high standard. Practical knowledge of Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads specifications, aspect ratios, safe zones, and placement requirements. Experience preparing print and large-format materials for retail, events, and other offline environments. A strong portfolio featuring performance video and static ads. Results and performance context are highly valued, as is an example of one concept adapted across multiple platforms and aspect ratios. Comfortable interpreting ad-level reporting and creative analytics using tools such as Motion or equivalent platforms. A solid understanding of hook rate, thumbstop ratio, hold rate, CTR, CPA, and ROAS, and how creative decisions can influence these metrics. Experience designing structured creative tests, interpreting results, and translating insights into the next production cycle. Proven ability to deliver creative at volume, producing multiple meaningful variations per concept each week. A test-and-learn mindset: you’re comfortable challenging your own ideas, learning from underperforming assets, and changing direction when the evidence calls for it. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted creative production tools, including video generation platforms such as Higgsfield and Veo, image generation tools such as Flux, and enhancement tools such as Magnific. Familiarity with generative fill, upscaling, automated captioning, AI voiceovers, and other tools that improve creative workflows. Strong judgement in deciding when AI adds value and when traditional production is the better choice, especially for accurate product representation. Curiosity and the ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly as the creative technology landscape evolves. A systems-oriented approach to creative production, including organised asset libraries, reusable templates, master project files, and consistent naming conventions. A proactive, resourceful, and autonomous working style, with the ability to manage multiple creative priorities and deliver reliably. High-level English communication skills; additional European languages are a plus. Figma, 3D design, or Cinema 4D experience is an advantage. Purpose-driven work: Contribute to projects with meaningful impact, room for experimentation, and genuine creative potential. A multidisciplinary team: Work alongside people across creative, marketing, and other business functions. A hybrid working model: Full-time position based in Barcelona, Spain. Professional development: An individual development plan, continuous training, and opportunities to expand your creative and technical skill set. Immediate start: The opportunity to make an impact from day one. #J-18808-Ljbffr
