ph3Digital Database Product Manager /h3pbLocation: /b Getafe, Spain /ppbEmployment Type: /b Permanent (Full Time) /ph3Position Overview /h3pAirbus Defence and Space seeks a Dynamic, skilled and motivated Database Product Manager to join the “Database and Hosting tools” team based in Getafe, Spain. This role is part of the PSL within the Digital Infrastructure organization responsible for designing, building and operating the hosting infrastructure of the company and focuses on implementing and operating database, observability, automation, and orchestration solutions. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLead the strategy, lifecycle and evolution of the database product ensuring alignment with internal customer needs and technology standards. /liliTranslate internal customer needs into a prioritized backlog and scalable solutions. /liliDefine and drive the database product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle. /liliDesign database solutions based on customer requirements, balancing performance, scalability and cost efficiency. /liliManage releases, version upgrades and continuous product evolution. /liliDefine and govern operational models and SLAs. /liliMonitor market trends and drive innovation in database technologies. /liliDefine and manage financial models (chargeback) and promote efficient consumption of database resources. /liliOversee service delivery, external providers delivering database operations, ensuring service quality, SLA compliance and continuous improvement. /liliEnsure recognition of compliance risks and act with integrity as the foundation for the Company’s success. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulli5+ years of professional experience as a Database Engineer, Administrator, Developer, or Specialist. /liliBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. /liliStrong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one major relational database system (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). /liliFamiliarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus. /liliKnowledge of automation of database tasks is a plus. /liliExcellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. /liliAdvanced level English; negotiation level Spanish. /liliSecurity clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities. /li /ulh3Benefits /h3ulliAt least 35 working days of vacation and additional days-off throughout the year. /liliCompetitive salary and compensation package. /liliHybrid working model where possible, promoting work‑life balance. /liliCollective transport service on some sites. /liliHealth insurance, employee stock options, retirement plan, and study grants. /liliOn‑site facilities such as free canteen, kindergarten, medical office. /liliOpportunities for upskilling, development, and participation in social and corporate CSR initiatives. /li /ulh3Legal Statement /h3pAirbus is committed to workforce diversity and an inclusive working environment.
