If you are passionate about driving excellence in the energy sector, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity." -------------- HR Manager / Madrid -------------- Location: Madrid, Spain Job Summary: The HR Manager is responsible for leading the human resources function in Spain and North Africa (Algeria, Libya, etc.), including talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and HR operations. This role ensures the company attracts, retains, and develops top talent while fostering a positive workplace culture and aligning HR strategies with business objectives in compliance with Spanish labor laws (Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and North African regulations (e.g., Algerian Labor Law, Libyan standards). HR Strategy and Leadership • Develop and implement the HR strategy for Spain and North Africa, aligning with the company’s goals, values, and local labor regulations in both regions., • Lead talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning for critical roles in Spain and North Africa., • Foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture in line with Spanish societal norms, North African cultural contexts, and corporate values. 2. Talent Acquisition and Mobility • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and regional mobility for technical and corporate roles in Spain and North Africa., • Develop employer branding strategies tailored to the Spanish and North African markets to attract top local and international talent., • Manage expatriate programs, work permits, and relocation services in compliance with Spanish immigration laws and North African regulations (e.g., Algerian work permits, Libyan residency requirements). 3. Employee Relations and Engagement • Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations in accordance with Spanish labor laws and North African regulations., • Implement employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives adapted to local contexts (e.g., conciliación laboral-familiar in Spain, cultural wellness programs in North Africa)., • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, HR policies, and ethical standards in both regions. 4. Learning and Development • Develop training and development programs for technical and leadership skills, with a focus on local talent development and upskilling in Spain and North Africa., • Implement career pathing, mentorship, and upskilling initiatives aligned with regional market needs., • Manage L&D platforms, e-learning, and digital training tools in Spanish, English, French, and Arabic. 5. Compensation and Benefits • Design and administer compensation, benefits, and incentive programs that are competitive within the Spanish and North African markets., • Ensure competitive salary structures, bonuses (pagas extras in Spain), and long-term incentives in compliance with local social security and tax laws (e.g., Seguridad Social in Spain, Algerian/Libyan tax regulations)., • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with regional regulations. 6. HR Operations and Digital Transformation • Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), data analytics, and process automation for operations in Spain and North Africa., • Implement digital HR tools (e.g., Workday, SAP) and ensure they are adapted to local needs and languages., • Ensure HR compliance, audits, and risk management in line with Spanish and North African regulations. 7. Stakeholder Engagement • Collaborate with executive leadership, managers, and employees to align HR with business needs in Spain and North Africa., • Represent HR in cross-functional projects, local partnerships, and organizational changes in both regions., • Engage with local authorities, industry groups, and community stakeholders to support HR initiatives (e.g., Ministerio de Trabajo in Spain, Algerian Ministry of Labor). 8. Team Leadership • Lead the HR Business Partners, Recruitment, L&D, Compensation, and HR Operations teams in Spain and North Africa., • Develop HR talent and succession plans for local and regional roles. Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field., • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role (e.g., HR Manager, HR Director)., • Proven track record in talent management, HR strategy, and organizational development in Spain/Southern Europe and North Africa., • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills., • Expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR digital transformation., • Knowledge of Spanish labor laws (Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and North African regulations (e.g., Algerian Labor Law, Libyan standards)., • Fluent in Spanish and English (mandatory)., • French and/or Arabic (mandatory for North African operations).
