Your mission Your mission will be to design, implement, and optimize image-processing algorithms that transform raw satellite data into accurate, actionable information used in SATLANTIS optical payloads and Earth-observation missions. Through your work, you’ll help validate imaging systems, improve image quality, and reduce technical risks in space missions—contributing directly to how we observe and understand our planet. In this role, you will: • Design, develop, and optimize image-processing algorithms for satellite data analysis and simulation., • Implement radiometric, geometric, and multiband alignment corrections to enhance image quality and consistency., • Validate algorithms using real mission and laboratory data to ensure accuracy, robustness, and operational performance. What will set you up for success • Proven experience in scientific or analytical image processing: You bring at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing image processing solutions, with strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as OpenCV, NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow/PyTorch, or equivalent., • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills: You’re able to translate complex data challenges into effective technical solutions that deliver measurable results., • Knowledge of satellite or geospatial data: Familiarity with remote sensing principles, calibration methods, or sensor modeling will help you contribute from day one., • Interest in advanced imaging systems is a plus: Experience with TDI (Time Delay Integration) sensors, optical modelling, simulation pipelines, or image-quality metrics (SNR, MTF, PRNU/DSNU) is a strong advantage and will allow you to work on some of our most advanced payloads., • Collaborative communication: You thrive in multidisciplinary and international environments, communicating fluently in English and Spanish to build strong technical and human connections., • Curiosity and drive for improvement: You continuously seek new approaches, optimize performance, and challenge the status quo to push innovation forward.
