Sales Manager – Spain Barcelona, Spain (Field-Based) Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits This is an exciting opportunity to join our client who is, one of Europe's fastest-growing brands, as Sales Manager – Spain. Based in Barcelona and operating in a field-based capacity, this role will be instrumental in driving commercial performance across the Spanish portfolio while supporting wider European sales initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the successful candidate will take ownership of developing and growing corporate, group, and local business opportunities across the region. This position offers a unique combination of strategic account management, new business development, and operational sales execution, making it ideally suited to an ambitious hotel sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. What you'll do As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving corporate sales performance across Spain while identifying opportunities to cross-sell other destinations throughout Europe. Through structured business development activity, relationship management, and proactive networking, you will introduce new corporate clients to the brand, negotiate local and global agreements, and maximise revenue opportunities across the portfolio. You will manage client requirements relating to business travel programmes, negotiated corporate rates, travel management companies, and RFP processes, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for customers. Regular hotel visits, client meetings, networking events, and industry engagement will form a key part of your role as you continue to build awareness and market share within the region. Alongside corporate sales responsibilities, you will oversee the group reservations process, ensuring enquiries are managed professionally and converted efficiently. You will coordinate group bookings from enquiry through to stay and post-event follow-up, maintaining strong relationships with bookers while actively pursuing repeat business opportunities. Working closely with Revenue, Marketing, Operations, Distribution, and Hotel Management teams, you will help position products effectively within the market and ensure commercial opportunities are maximised. You will also support the Head of Sales with sales administration, account management, reporting, and the ongoing development of key partnerships and distribution channels. This is a highly visible role requiring regular travel across Spain, with occasional travel to the United Kingdom, France, and The Netherlands to support wider commercial initiatives. What you'll need • Proven experience within hotel sales, hospitality sales, or commercial hotel operations, • Strong track record of developing and managing corporate accounts and business travel relationships, • Experience working with TMCs, corporate travel programmes, wholesalers, agents, tour operators, or group bookers, • Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to deliver revenue growth, • Experience managing RFP processes, negotiated agreements, and account development strategies, • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, • Strong communication and presentation abilities, • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based environment, • Highly organised with strong time management and multi-tasking skills, • Experience using hotel sales and CRM systems, including platforms such as Lanyon, Apaleo, or similar, • Fluent Spanish and English language skills would be highly advantageous, • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Spain and occasionally across Europe About the company Our client l is a leading international hotel brand focused on delivering affordable, sustainable, and well-located accommodation across Europe's major cities.
