Here’s the lowdown on what your role will actually look like (spoiler alert: it’s awesome!) Galenicum SAG team is hiring a Sourcing Manager. He/she will be a key player in leading the Sourcing Team of our Manufacturing Plant in San Agustin de Guadalix and identifying sourcing strategies for Finished Products, APIs/Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, and Indirect Materials, ensuring uninterrupted supply to our manufacturing site. What you'll be rocking: Lead and manage the Sourcing team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and continuous performance improvement. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Finished Products, API/Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, and Indirect Materials, ensuring uninterrupted supply to manufacturing and contract sites. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key strategic suppliers and CDMO partners, monitoring performance against KPIs (Quality, Delivery, Cost). Lead complex, annual commercial negotiations for all assigned spend categories, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs), to deliver measurable cost savings and value. Drive cost optimization, process improvement, and supplier performance initiatives within the supply chain. Oversee and monitor supplier performance, including production and delivery schedules, shipment timelines, and quality compliance. Manage forecasting, ordering, inventory optimization, and write-offs, ensuring stock levels are aligned with business needs. Act as the primary escalation point for critical operational supply issues (e.g., shortages, quality deviations, delayed deliveries) to ensure rapid resolution and minimal production disruption. Oversee purchase orders, delivery schedules, and material availability, ensuring accurate ERP data and timely system updates. Collaborate with customs and import/export processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely clearance of goods. Support GMP/GDP audits and inspections, ensuring documentation and processes are compliant and audit-ready. Provide leadership and coaching to the team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What you bring to the table: Minimum 10 years professional experience in Pharmaceutical Industry in the areas of Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement or other operational roles with at least 5 years in the Strategic Sourcing roles within a dynamic environment. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical raw materials, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements (GMP, regulatory) Strong knowledge of GMP & GDP regulations and their application to sourcing and procurement processes. Demonstrated experience managing CDMO/CMO relationships and finished product sourcing is mandatory. Proven track record in supplier negotiation and vendor management. Educational milestone: University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field. Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Organization highly valued. Additional training in Negotiations, International Commerce or Procurement will be highly appreciated. ERP proficient, ideally in modules related to production, procurement, logistics, or customer service. Excellent computer skills, especially Excel, Word and Power Point. Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken (C1 level minimum). Your key superpowers: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to manage complex sourcing projects (e.g., second source qualification, tender processes) end-to-end.
