Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and complex learning needs. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff to ensure pupils are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies Support pupils with engagement, communication, and emotional regulation Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities Supervise pupils during transitions, breaks, and school activities Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times Record progress and provide feedback to teaching staff Person Specification: Experience working with children or young people (school or SEN experience preferred) Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices Calm, patient, and professional approach Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to apply Legal right to work in the UK
