The Role We’re looking for an in-house Maintenance Specialist to keep our growing number of managed offices running smoothly, whilst ensuring that new offices we’re opening are finished to the highest standards. You will be: • Kitt’s first line of service: running a first assessment of the situation: carry out repairs or recommending a specialist contractor on site, • Performing site inspections, identifying and reporting the need for major repairs, • When required, you’ll be present when contractors attend sites and ensure completion of the works are up to Kitt’s standards., • Performing maintenance and repairs including leaks, changing taps, general plumbing, tiling, minor electrical works, lock changes etc. As well as some decorating works: Painting, pictures frames etc., • Providing support to the wider operations team during tenants move-ins (whiteboards, fixing TVs on walls etc), • Performing light carpentry (e.g. building cabinets) About You • Proven experience within maintenance or construction., • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment., • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing & HVAC systems. A Qualification in HVAC is desired but not essential for this position, • Basic maths skills., • As an expert problem solver, you can think outside the box to come up with solutions., • Good communication ability and confidence in front of clients. You will be representing Kitt in a professional manner., • Well-organised with good attention to detail., • Health and safety is a priority and you can spot problems before they happen., • Comfortable working alone and also as part of a team. We are looking for serious people who take pride in clean, high-quality work and want steady projects with an organised company. We handle all client communication, quoting, and material logistics. You just turn up, do great work, and get paid your day rate reliably. We are interested in: • Skilled Floor Sanding Operator – £170–£220 per day For people who can sand, prepare, and finish wooden floors to a good standard. (Let us know if you require our machines/transport or have your own)., • Senior Floor Sanding Operator – £230–£300 per day For highly experienced operators who can run jobs independently, manage fine details, work cleanly, and represent the company well. (Note: The top end of this pay scale is reserved for operators who provide their own van and professional dustless sanding machines). Key Responsibilities: • Attend reactive maintenance jobs across multiple sites, • Carry out a variety of repairs including:Basic plumbing (tap repairs, leaks, replacements), • Carpentry (doors, locks, adjustments), • Silicone/mastic works, • Minor tiling and patch repairs, • Painting & decorating touch-ups, • Basic electrical (e.g. changing fittings – non-certified works only), • Diagnose issues and provide practical solutions on-site, • Complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard, • Communicate clearly with management and provide updates/photos, • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with best practice Requirements: • Proven experience as a multi-trade handyman, • Own van and full set of tools (essential), • Good communication and professional attitude, • Flexible and responsive to reactive jobs, • Full UK driving licence
