We’re looking to recruit a brilliant Floor Manager to join the Darwin Brasserie team at Sky Garden. Darwin is our rooftop all-day restaurant inspired by the very best of British. Laid-back but luxe, the space is inspired by nature and understated décor which allows the food – and incredible view – to do the talking! The ideal candidate must have experience as a Floor Manager or Team Leader within a similar quality led, high volume, fast paced dining environment and be used to dealing with high volumes of guests. You’ll need to be smart in all senses, charismatic, engaging and able to lead a team of up to 75 staff. We're a very busy restaurant - this role is not for everyone.

Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and pro spective clients. Act as the main point of contact for client queries and negotiations. Collaborate with senior management to design and implement growth strat egies. Define business development objectives and set achievable goals. Create persuasive business proposals, pitches, and presentations. Coordinate with internal teams to tailor offerings to client requirements. Develop and execute plans to increase sales and profitability. Track revenue targets, ensuring they are met or exceeded. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to expand professional connections. Build partnerships with relevant stakeholders and organizations. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients or partners. Ensure all agreements align with company policies and objectives. Measure the effectiveness of business development strategies through KPIs and metrics. Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to meet operational goals. Report progress and outcomes to senior leadership. Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align efforts. Provide guidance to junior staff or business development teams. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes using CRM tools or databases.

Position Summary As an Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, team performance, and smooth restaurant running. You will lead by example, coach the team, and help deliver financial targets. Key Responsibilities - Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening/closing procedures. - Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction. - Supervise and motivate front-of-house (FOH) and/or back-of-house (BOH) teams. - Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly. - Assist in staff training, development, and performance reviews. - Monitor and manage stock levels, orders, and deliveries. - Ensure health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations are followed. - Help manage labour costs, rota scheduling, and payroll inputs. - Drive sales and assist in achieving revenue and profitability goals. - Cover the manager’s responsibilities in their absence.
