Barista/ deli assistant

We are looking for FULL TIME / PART TIME **(must be able to do weekends),BARISTA and FOH team member. All rounder with Barista experience. Needs to be willing to learn and work. 30-40 hours a week, £13.50-£14 per hour + cash tips, 2 days OFF. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers while ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere as well as creating content on a daily basis. Your role will involve not only preparing high-quality beverages but also engaging with customers to provide outstanding service, and working with the marketing team to promote the coffee shop online. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and seating areas. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Manage content creation duties throughout the shift without interrupting service. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; report any shortages to management. Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or as a Barista is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and products. LOOKING FOR IMMEDIATE START We are looking for a new barista and café member to add to the team. Experience using a coffee machine is ideal. We also make breakfast, sandwiches and serve pastries. Also as the business is a cafe and a Laundrette in one, help may needed on both sides. Nothing specific but general clean and folding of clothes. Work environment is relaxed and friendly as it’s a family owned business. Experience in a cafe and with using a coffee machine is necessary.
