We are looking for a highly experienced and reliable Car Mechanic to run day-to-day operations in our tyre and mechanical workshop. This role is ideal for someone confident working independently and capable of handling both tyre services and general mechanical repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform all tyre services: fitting, balancing, puncture repairs, replacements.
- Carry out a variety of mechanical tasks including:
- Brake repairs and replacements
- Suspension work
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Oil & filter changes
- Battery testing and replacement
- Exhaust repairs
- Manage the workshop alone and work efficiently without supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding work required and completed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a car mechanic.
- Strong understanding of both tyre work and general vehicle mechanics.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workflow alone.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a tyre shop or fast-fit environment.
- Confident working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
