Floor & Bar Team Member — Kūhaku 空白 205 Upper Street, Islington N1 · £13 per hour + service charge both full and part time positions available Join our team at a vibrant Japanese izakaya and cocktail bar, where we blend tradition with creativity. This is a combined floor and bar role — you'll make sure our guests enjoy exceptional service at every step of their visit, with the right knowledge at every step. The role On our busy nights you'll be on the floor, working alongside our assistant manager to look after guests, run food and host, while our GM runs the bar. On quieter nights you'll be behind the bar yourself. at least until properly trained up. You'll take ownership of bar cleanliness, and learn our prep, stock counts and bar systems directly from the GM — so there's real room to grow into the bar. What you'll do • Welcome guests warmly and start their visit on the right note, • Build a thorough knowledge of our food and drinks menu to guide guests to the perfect choice, • Support the assistant manager on the floor during busy services — hosting, taking orders, running food and drinks, • Run the bar on quieter nights, serving drinks to our house specs but moving on to the bar more once trained up and will rotate between floor and bar moving forward, • Keep high service standards on both bar and floor for swift, excellent service, • Own bar cleanliness — opening and closing standards, back bar, fridges, glassware and tools, • Learn and take on bar prep, stock counts and restocking, following FIFO, • Process payments (we're card-only), • Keep up with drink trends and contribute ideas to our rotating menu, • Check ID in line with our Challenge 25 policy What we're looking for • Hospitality experience on the floor, the bar, or both, • Warm, confident with guests and calm under pressure, • Tidy and organised, with a good eye for detail, • Keen to learn and take on responsibility, • Available evenings and weekends Hours We're open Tuesday to Sunday, evenings only, including late finishes on Friday and Saturday.
