We are looking for experienced Complex Care Support Workers who are confident supporting people with significant physical disabilities, neurological conditions and complex healthcare needs.
We particularly want to hear from applicants who have worked in community complex care, specialist homecare, hospitals or other clinical settings.
We understand that every care package is different. You do not need experience in every clinical procedure, but you must have genuine practical experience in complex care and be willing to demonstrate your skills.

Depending on the individual's assessed needs and your documented competencies, your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting individuals with tracheostomies, including routine care and prescribed suctioning where delegated.
- Providing PEG and gastrostomy feeding support.
- Supporting individuals who use oxygen therapy or ventilation equipment, including prescribed routine checks and monitoring.
- Supporting individuals with epilepsy and following individual seizure management plans.
- Providing catheter and stoma care where trained and authorised.
- Supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions.
- Assisting with prescribed medication and delegated healthcare procedures.
- Supporting safe moving and handling, including the use of hoists.
- Providing personal care, pressure area care and daily living support.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a person's health and wellbeing.
- Responding promptly to emergencies in accordance with training and individual care plans.
- Completing accurate care records and communicating effectively with the clinical team.
You will work within your training and assessed competencies, following care plans and instructions from the responsible registered healthcare professional.
Essential requirements
- A minimum of 12 months of paid care experience, including direct experience supporting people with complex healthcare needs.
- Practical experience in at least one specialist area such as tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG feeding, ventilation support or complex neurological care.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding, infection prevention and emergency procedures.
- Confidence working independently within agreed care plans and professional boundaries.
- Good communication and record keeping skills.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to complete the appropriate DBS checks and safer recruitment process.
- Willingness to undertake clinical training, supervision and competency assessments.
Desirable experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Experience supporting individuals receiving NHS Continuing Healthcare.
- Previous experience in community complex care or specialist homecare.
- Current relevant clinical training certificates.
- Experience with electronic care records.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle where required for the assigned package.
