With flexible working arrangements and ongoing training opportunities, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment. \n The EO Capital Modelling team operates as a split location team across London and Leeds and therefore we welcome applicants based out of either location. \n Your new role \n Reporting to the Senior Capital Modelling Manager, you’ll manage actuarial processes within the Capital Modelling team. \n\n • \n For designated risk area / modelling area: own the parameterisation, modelling approach, validation of outputs and communication of results, supported by the Senior Manager. \n • \n Manage model runs for Company entities, including reviewing for appropriateness. \n • \n Collaborate with other risk area owners in the Capital Modelling team to ensure efforts are joined up. \n • \n Maintain documentation relating to the internal model, regulatory requirements and reporting to governance forums. \n • \n Present model updates to senior managers and to the Technical Review Group (TRG). \n • \n Support submissions and responses to external regulators such as the PRA and NBB. \n • \n Coach team members for success by providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development. Formal line management of junior team members. \n • \n Collaborate with independent risk teams to facilitate thorough validation processes. \n\n About you \n Must-haves: \n\n • \n Qualified actuary or qualified by experience. \n • \n Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. \n\n Experience & capability: \n\n • \n Fully qualified actuary with General Insurance experience. \n • \n Strong background in capital modelling within the General Insurance industry. \n • \n Highly skilled in data analysis, with strong proficiency in Excel and capital modelling software (Igloo preferred). \n • \n Proven experience in collaborating proactively with others to achieve deliverables. \n • \n Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance business would be an advantage. \n • \n Clear communicator of actuarial concepts. \n • \n Experience managing and developing junior team members. \n • \n Ability to effectively co-ordinate processes and deliver technical analysis. \n\n Benefits \n We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances.
