We're an independent café, restaurant and bar serving all-day brunch, toasties, burgers and burritos. We're looking for a friendly, reliable, flexible full-time barista who takes good coffee seriously. The role • Make espresso, flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes, cortados, long blacks and mochas, hot or iced. You'll also make our special lattes (matcha, chai and more), hot chocolate, tea and smoothies., • Know our menu well enough to recommend a drink with any brunch plate or toastie., • Understand the allergens in our food and drinks, including milk alternatives. You'll answer guests' allergy questions accurately and never guess., • Understand our deals and offers and apply them correctly at the till., • Greet every guest warmly and keep service positive and unhurried., • Keep the bar spotless: machine, grinders, steam wands, surfaces and floors, cleaned throughout the shift., • Take card and cash payments accurately., • Carry out regular stock takes of bar and café stock, and flag low items early., • Help the wider team with clearing tables and covering the floor in busy periods., • Follow food safety and hygiene standards. A Level 2 certificate is preferred, and we'll support you to get one. What we're looking for • Previous barista experience on a commercial machine in a busy setting., • Consistent milk texturing and a good feel for espresso., • A welcoming, positive manner with customers., • Flexible and willing to help wherever the day needs it., • Available on weekdays and able to cover occasional weekends., • Right to work in the UK., • Reliable, punctual and calm under pressure.
