The Yard Area Manager is responsible for managing yard operations in coordination with Dock, Receive and Ship teams to ensure FIFO processing and mitigate CX impact risks. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You’ll also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day is varied, everything from routine team management and daily operational responsibilities to process improvement and wide-scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to new managers. • Advanced degree, or Bachelor's degree, • Experience in people management and team development, • Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership, • Master's degree, or experience using data to influence business decisions, • Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above, • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferred, • Experience in a logistics/operations environment, • Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment, or experience with Microsoft Office products and applications Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
