We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth daily operation of our small café kitchen. The role involves helping with basic food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and organisation at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping, portioning, assembling simple dishes).
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including washing dishes, surfaces, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures, including correct storage and labelling.
- Receive and put away deliveries, rotating stock appropriately.
- Dispose of waste safely and keep cleaning schedules up to date.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good time management and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided).
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure and follow instructions.
