About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchen Supervisor to support the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen. The successful candidate will supervise kitchen staff, coordinate daily food preparation and maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily operations.
- Organise kitchen duties and monitor workflow to ensure timely food preparation.
- Prepare, cook and check food to required quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety procedures.
- Check stock levels, receive deliveries and assist with ordering supplies.
- Ensure correct food storage, temperature control and stock rotation.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on food preparation and workplace procedures.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Complete temperature, cleaning and other required kitchen records.
- Support the Head Chef with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and kitchen procedures.
- Ability to supervise and organise kitchen staff effectively.
- Good understanding of food preparation, storage and stock control.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
