You will help provide a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where every child can flourish and feel valued. Your role will include planning and leading age-appropriate activities, observing and assessing children’s progress, and working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to nurture every child’s growth. \n Responsibilities\n\n • Support the learning and development of young children, adapting your approach to individual needs.\n, • Plan, deliver, and encourage participation in engaging, age-appropriate activities.\n, • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all children.\n, • Observe and track children’s developmental progress and share observations with the nursery team.\n, • Promote children’s wellbeing, independence, curiosity, and confidence through everyday interactions and quality play experiences.\n, • Work closely and effectively with fellow practitioners, parents, and carers to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach.\n\n Skills and Experience\n\n • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/EYFS qualification (or equivalent) is essential.\n, • Experience working in nursery or early years settings.\n, • Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.\n, • Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the importance of the EYFS framework.\n, • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.\n, • Genuine passion for supporting and inspiring young children’s learning journeys.\n\n Location and Package\n\n • Based in Wolverhampton, serving a variety of nursery settings across the area.\n, • Contract role starting on 1 September 2026.\n, • Competitive pay rate: £14.24 per hour.\n\n \n If you are dedicated to early years education and ready to bring your enthusiasm and skills to children in Wolverhampton, this opportunity is an excellent next step.
