As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering parcels safely and efficiently to customers across your allocated delivery area. You will provide excellent customer service while ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities • Safely load and organise parcels into your delivery vehicle., • Complete daily parcel deliveries efficiently and within scheduled timeframes., • Use a handheld device/scanner to manage deliveries and obtain proof of delivery., • Provide friendly and professional customer service., • Follow all road safety, company and DPD procedures., • Carry out vehicle checks and report any faults or issues., • Handle parcels carefully and responsibly., • Manage your delivery route effectively and work independently., • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Requirements • Full UK driving licence. The role requires a strong understanding of commercial operations, customer behaviour, market trends, and supplier negotiations within the fresh produce and grocery sector. Key Responsibilities • Work closely with the Director to determine the range of fresh fruit and grocery products to be supplied and distributed across England., • Assist in developing commercial plans, sales strategies, and setting achievable sales targets to support business growth., • Discuss business requirements with the Director and provide recommendations based on market analysis and commercial performance., • Conduct local market research and analyse customer responses to products, pricing strategies, and promotional activities within the fruit and vegetable market., • Compile, review, and analyse sales figures to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement., • Prepare proposals for marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and seasonal initiatives aimed at increasing customer engagement, footfall, and revenue., • Produce commercial reports and recommendations on sales and marketing strategies for presentation to the Director and senior decision-makers., • Assist in directing the implementation of marketing strategies for products and services, including in-store promotions and seasonal campaigns., • Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, suppliers, and commercial partners., • Support negotiations with importing firms and assist with the development of import contracts, product specifications, pricing requirements, and business terms., • Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and customer trends to support effective commercial decision-making.
