What You'll Do
As a Pastry Chef, you'll prepare high-quality desserts and handcrafted steamed products while maintaining the exceptional standards Din Tai Fung is known for.


You'll:

  • Prepare and produce signature products including Xiao Long Bao, Steamed Buns, Shao Mai, and Jiao Zi.
  • Create high-quality desserts while maintaining consistency, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Prepare doughs, fillings, and other ingredients following Din Tai Fung’s specialist methods.
  • Work as part of a supportive kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with precision, care, and in line with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Develop specialist techniques in dough preparation, filling production, and dessert creation, following Din Tai Fung’s unique methods and standards.

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable chefs who thrive in a busy kitchen and take pride in producing high-quality food.
You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience as a Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Have experience with pastry, dough, desserts, or food preparation techniques.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality products.
  • Have experience in Asian cuisine or dim sum production (desirable, but not essential).
  • Are eager to learn and develop your culinary skills.
  • Can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Are flexible to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, with some shifts finishing at 10:30 PM.
