As Head Chef, you will be the creative force behind our kitchen, orchestrating every aspect of food preparation and presentation. What You’ll Do: - Lead the kitchen with passion and precision, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality, flavour, and presentation. - Develop and refine the menu, infusing it with creativity while staying true to the Aegean influences that define our cuisine. - Oversee the day-to-day operations, including inventory management, ordering, and ensuring that all kitchen processes run smoothly. - Mentor and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a culture of learning and excellence, and helping each member to grow in their culinary careers. - Uphold strict health and safety standards, ensuring the kitchen remains a clean, organised, and safe environment. - Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a seamless dining experience, addressing any service challenges that arise. What We’re Looking For: - Minimum 4years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role within a high-volume kitchen. - A deep passion for cooking and a rich understanding of diverse culinary techniques, with a special affinity for Aegean cuisine. - Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team in a high-pressure environment. - Flexibility to adapt to the demands of a busy kitchen, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a commitment to maintaining impeccable standards. Duties and Responsibilities: · Manage and supervise the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. · Act as a leader and the primary point of contact for management regarding kitchen-related matters. · Prepare delicious, hygienic, and healthy food in accordance with the restaurant's business principles. · Prepare and cook a variety of dishes as outlined in the restaurant menu, including different types of wraps, wings, breakfast items, various milkshakes, desserts, and cold drinks. · Introduce an exciting dish of the month at the beginning of each month to keep our customers engaged. · Maintain the taste and quality of dishes prepared daily to ensure the satisfaction of regular customers. · Conduct month-end stocktaking of food supplies. · Manage the daily ordering of food for your section in line with UK purchasing guidelines. · Ensure that all food prepared meets the highest possible standards. · Control portion sizes in accordance with food specifications. · Prepare food according to standard recipes, portion yields, and within agreed time limits, minimising waste. · Stay informed about food trends and customer preferences to keep the menu relevant. · Participate in special events or promotions that highlight wraps and wings. · Address food complaints efficiently. Skills/Qualifications: · Relevant experience in a similar role. · Skills in managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste. · Strong understanding of food safety regulations. · Knowledge of common dietary restrictions and allergies to accommodate diverse customer needs. · Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. · Passion for culinary arts, creativity in menu development, and an understanding of current food trends.
